Merlot Plus Chocolate is SURELY Heaven

Let’s have a little discussion about my version of “Heaven”. When I reference Heaven, I am referring to a moment in the evening an hour or so before I go to bed when I decide to Wind Down, and relax from the day..  I start with a Glass of Fine Wine.  If I have it, I go for a Fine Merlot.  I get all of my Fine Premium Wines from Our Wine of the Month Program – and highly recommend this program for anyone that drinks wine.

Fortunately for you, Fine Wines are just a few clicks away!  Now you don’t even need to leave your home.  They are delivered right to your door. You get to experience each and every glass!  Let me show you how  Our Wine of the Month Program program works, please watch this… and then let’s get into the Intense Dark Chocolate part of “Heaven”:

Now that you see how that works, Go get set up so you, too, have Fine Wines delivered to your door step each and every month.  Now, let’s move on to Intense Dark Chocolate, shall we!

With Merlot, or even a Cabernet, pairing it with Dark Chocolate is amazing. Now you can savor and enjoy them together!  Here is the ritual.

  1.  I start with some great chocolate (You can get some at an amazing price by Going Here)
  2. I break off a piece so I can control myself, otherwise I’ll eat all the Dark Chocolate in sight!.  It’s only Heaven when you DO NOT overdo it.
  3. Then, get a new bottle from your Monthly Delivery of Fine Wine from our Wine of the Month Club. If this is Tuesday, you may be re-opening that bottle from yesterday.
  4. Pour a 4-6 ounce glass of wine magic. This is what Fine Wine is to me.
  5. Then… you want to take that piece of Dark Chocolate, and rub the top of it with your thumb to open it up.  Take just a small bite, and place it on your tongue, and then press it to the roof of your mouth.
  6. As the piece of Chocolate dissolves, take a sip of Fine Wine, meaning Merlot if you have it.
  7. “ENJOY HEAVEN”.  Repeat steps 5 and 6 until both the Dark Chocolate and Fine Wine are gone. There! you’re all set.  And so, so much more happier!  “Heaven for the Evening!”

Like our good friend Austin Zulauf has pointed out – it is not someone from Somalia… lol

sommelier (/ˈsɒməljeɪ/ or /sʌməlˈjeɪ/; French pronunciation: [sɔməlje]), or wine steward, is a trained and knowledgeable wine professional, normally working in fine restaurants, who specializes in all aspects of wine service as well as wine and food pairings. The role in fine dining today is much more specialized and informed than that of a wine waiter.

Merlot is very similar to Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a lighter and mellower version of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is known to grow in California and has been one of the most popular California wines. For a variety of reasons, including poking fun at Merlot in the popular movie “Sideways,” Merlot has fallen out of favor by many.

The Merlot is a red wine grape that is abundantly grown in France’s Bordeaux, and in particular in the St. Emilion region. In California, Merlot was once used as a blending grape to soften Cabernet Sauvignon. In California Merlot has become immensely popular as its own varietal.

Approximtely 50,000 acres are planted with Merlot vineyards in California.

You can pair Merlot with many meat dishes, bbq foods, and mild to medium cheeses.

There is MUCH MORE TO THIS GRAPE:

This is a medium-bodied wine that can be made in a big style, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon.

This Varietal has both aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, current, chocolate and vanilla. Grapes tends to have more earthy characteristics than Cabernet Sauvignon. in general is not capable of aging as long as Cabernet Sauvignon.

These Grapes grow in the Napa Valley and the Sonoma areas of Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Sonoma Valley in California.
